The Dutch public transport organizations are rolling out a new pay and travel system, called the “OV-chipkaart”. With the ov-chipkaart everyone should be able to travel through the whole country using only one digital payment system.
The introduction of the card, especially for students at January 1, 2010, was poorly communicated and many students weren’t sure of the use of their new card. To provide one clear source of information, the website Chipinfo.nl was launched.
